Obituary for Deacon Herbert Cooper

Deacon Herbert Earl Cooper departed this life September 10, 2017. He was born October 14, 1952 in Marshall, Missouri to Ernest E. Cooper and Bertha B. Cooper. He was 1 of 2 children. He gradued from Central High School and tended Louisiana University. He was a devoted husband and fher who worked hard to provide for his family. He loved fishing which was apparent by the giant grin th he would display when he “made a cch”. He, and Martha often shared this past time, enjoying nure’s peace and quiet. October 30, 1986, he was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and received the gift of the Holy Ghost October 23, 1987 Bibleway Pentecostal Church. It was here th he met and married the love of his life and best friend Martha Faye Peaks on March 21, 1987. Deacon Cooper served in various roles under Apostle Rena M. Wilkins, president of the Deacon Board, Sunday School Superintendent, and as choir director. Being gifted in poetry he blessed many with his words, and sometimes personalized poems th inspired them. His love for young and old alike was shown by the sacrifices he made providing transportion whether for work or for play. He, and his le wife joined Gospel Tabernacle in Belton, MO under the leadership of Brad Rliff in 2009. He and Sis. Cooper were a blessing this ministry th suddenly popped into their lives…and just as suddenly left. He leaves to mourn his son Joshua Peaks (Andrea Drone), grand children Gabrielle La’Faye Peaks, (Jason and Dillan Bly). His sister Johnalita Menscher, and a host of family, friends, and spiritual brothers and sisters in Christ th loved him.
