Obituary for Column Windus Roseburr, (better known as C.W.)

Column Windus Roseburr, (better known as C.W.) 82 passed away on Janaury 15, 2016 was born on July 30, 1933 in Cleveland, Arkansas to the union of Ulishus and Libby Roseburr.  He departed this life his home surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren, and gre grandchildren on January 14, 2016. He was the youngest of five children and was preceded in deh by one sister, Marcella Josie Gentry and brothers, Ernest McClunie, and George McClunie and one grandson, Darshaun Jackson.  He accepted Christ as his personal Savior an early age.  C.W. received his early schooling in Morrilton, Arkansas and gradued from Morrilton High School. Upon graduing, he was drafted into the United Stes Army.  After completing his time in the US Army, he moved to Kansas City and became a member of Metropolitan A. M. E. Zion Church in 1951.  C.W. met and ler married the love of his life, Mary Goff in 1955.  To this union, they became parents of six children.  He was an active member of Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church where he served in several capacities:  he worked with the youth department, sang in the Male Chorus and was a former Chairman of the Trustee Board and served on the board until his deh.    He worked for 21 years Wilson Me Packing House as a me cutter and served as Union Stewart and ler served as the Vice President of the Local Me Cutters Union. He was a man of many trades and received his certificion in Refrigerion and Air Conditioning maintenance, a part-time mechanic and a self-taught barber.  After the closing of the Wilson Me Packing House, he became gainfully employed Yellow Freight System as a maintenance worker for their trucks and worked there for 20 years until he retired in 1997.  C.W. loved his wife, Mary and on December 17, 2015 they celebred 60 years of marriage. He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved and devoted wife, Mary, of the home, three sons, Napoleon Roseburr of Kansas City, MO, Dewayne Roseburr of Kansas City, MO and David O. Roseburr (Michelle) of Kansas City, MO; three daughters: Sandra Michelle Nicholas (Robert) of Independence, MO, Sharon Monique Johnson of Kansas City, MO, Elder Cheryl Cheadle (Kevin) of Columbia, MO, one brother Israel Roseburr Sr.(Mary) of Kansas City, MO, 8  grandchildren, 7 gre grandchildren and 1 gre gre grandchild, and host of brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
