Charlie Emmanuel “Charles” Dixon

Charlie Emmanuel “Charles” Dixon was born on 18th day of February, 1968 and transitioned to his heavenly home on the 26th day of March 2024. He was a life-long resident of Kansas City, Missouri. He was the youngest child born to Manuel and Juanita Dixon, who preceded him in death, along with his eldest sister Sharon “Honey” Dixon. Charlie accepted Christ at an early age at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church under the late Robert B. Poe leadership. Charlie graduated from Westport High School class of 1986. Upon completing high school. He enlisted in the United States Navy in July 1986, where is served four years on a navy ship as a cook. Charlie was united in marriage to Mauri “Jeanie” on September 9, 2000 and to this union Markeese Thompson (son) and Sharon Dixon (daughter). Charlie was known for his love for all sports, but his favorite was baseball/softball. He was involved with a softball team named S.T.O.R.M (Strong Team Of Real Men) for many years. Charlie had a passion for cooking and did not mind preparing meals for his family. Charlie leaves: his wife Mauri “Jeanie” Dixon, son Markeese Thompson, daughter Sharon Dixon and granddaughter S’Amir Dixon; brother Mark Dixon (Tawanna), a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great niece and nephew, other relatives and friends.
