Obituary for Carrie Curry

Carrie Curry 67 passed away on July 7, 2017 was born In Camden, Arkansas on January 8. 1950, to the le Napolean and Helen Brown-Curry. Both parents and two brothers, Joseph Curry and Johnnie West preceded her in deh. Her formal educion was in the ste of Arkansas. She was baptized an early age St. James Baptist Church under the Leadership of Rev. Morris. Carrie tended Arkansas AM&N in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. In 1970 she reloced to Detroit, Michigan and Joined New Mt. Vernon Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Melwood C. Brown. In 1973, she began working as General Motors. She was employed for 34 years and retired in January, 2007 after the birth of the Apple of her eye, Zoie being born. She reloced to Kansas City, Missouri to live with her daughter and family. Carrie never met a stranger. She had a big heart with a kind and loving spirit. She believed in helping others who were in need. She loved to cook for others, especially Greens, Hot wer Cornbread, and Pork Steak. She loved to dress up. Everything had to much! And no one could wear a h like Carrie. Lastly, she loved the Golden Ste Warriors! She was happy to see her “Fake Nephew” Stephen Curry win the NBA Championship. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter Helen Harrington, son Tony Harrington, and granddaughter Zoie Harrington; Uncle Jesse (Thelma) Brown and Aunt Marie (Tom) Jones, brothers; Daniel Curry and Nhaniel Curry of Detroit, MI; Sister Clara (Mike) Paulding of Detroit, MI; Sister-in-laws: Carolyn Curry and Cynthia West; Nephews; Russell Curry, Tyrone Curry, and Johnnie West III of Detroit, MI Nieces Carol Curry, Umeka West, Cyntoria West, Quiana (Dwayne) Melson, Niya Curry and a special Niece/daughter Monica (Carl) Perry of Detroit, MI; goddaughter Angela Murray of Detroit, MI; Special friends Helen S. Blanton, Carlton and Aurita Caldwell, Dorothy Clanton, Lee and Georgia Cunningham, Jo Ann Davis, Cheryl Fletcher, P Blevins Hall, Bernice Harrington, Jessie Jennings, Wanda McIntosh, Claude and Liz Means, Jeroldine Reffigee and Elmira White. Special daughters: Pam Brown, Dominique Campbell, Pricia Clark, Micki Harris, Rita Holland, Kim Jones, Judith Jordan-Campbell, Alice R, Madry, Brenda J. Williams and Gena Williams. Along with a host of other family and Friends who loved her dearly.
