Obituary for Brenda Louise (Chuck) Boyd
Brenda Louise (Chuck) Boyd 52 departed this life on Monday April 23, 2018 Truman Medical Center. She was born to Roosevelt Sr. and Elizabeth Johnson on August 18, 1956 both parents, 6 brothers and 4 sisters precede her in deh. William Boyd Jr. (Skip) her loving husband of the home will cherish her memory and miss her grely as his beautiful angel has gone home. Her three children Christopher Jr., Keisha Elizabeth, and Kenneth Michael Miller born to the union with Christopher Miller Sr. will always hold their mother*s memory close in their hearts. She received her formal educion from the Kansas City, Missouri public educion system graduing from Manual High School in 1974. Brenda had the life long dream of becoming a nurse she left Kansas City Mo in 1986 and moved to College Park Georgia to tend Emory University to fulfill her dream. Earning her Bachelors of Nursing she worked a local area hospital in Georgia before relocing home to Kansas City Missouri in 1991.Upon her return to Kansas City she worked in many area hospitals as the Director of Nursing and as a nursing supervisor she held many nursing leadership positions health facilities i.e. Truman Medical Center and St Luke’s hospital just to name a few. She continued to work as a nurse until her health prevented her from doing the job she loved, this time she left HCR Manor Care and hung up her stethoscope and nursing h but never leaving her nursing knowledge. Brenda accepted Christ an early age the Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she was baptized and the willingness to serve the Lord in all things serving on the junior usher board. This willingness continued throughout her life. She was a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church where she worked faithfully on Senior Usher Board, and worked with the junior ushers. She was also led to start a health ministry promoting optimal health for the church members. Brenda *called Aunt Bren by many will be grely missed by all. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her husband of the home William (Skip) Boyd Jr. 3 children Christopher Miller Jr., Keisha E. Miller, and Kenneth M. Miller, 3 brothers Don (Jean) Johnson, Leonard (Ginger) Johnson, Billy Ray Johnson all of the city, 2 sisters Mae Ella (Marvin) Credit, Conway Arkansas, and Ona Willis of the city Three grand children Brianne, Carvell and Kylee . A host of nieces, nephews, gre nieces, nephews, family and friends. Memorial Celebrion held Surday, May 5, 2018, Galilee Missionary Baptist Church 3601 E 19th St; Kansas City, Missouri 64127 Visition 9 am Celebrion 11am Interment XII Ges Memorial Garden, Kansas City, MO
