Obituary for Bennie J. Williams

Bennie J. Williams 97 passed away peacefully on May 5, 2016, was born in Sunflower County, Mississippi on December 25, 1918 to Bennie and Lizzy (Johnson) Williams. He was preceded in deh by his parents Bennie Sr. and Lizzy, Brother Steve, and son Bennie James, Jr. He came to Kansas City in 1945 where he met and married Sophia Ann McKinney. In his early years in Kansas City, he worked construction and drove for the Consolided Cab Company until the mid 1970s.  He continued his love of driving and helping others until April 2016. He loved to Bowl and shoot Pool. His love and expertise for the game of Pool has gained him the repution of “Master” of the table. He also loved  his Grand Master motorcycles from Harley Davidson. Bennie has always been a Man of Faith and joined the Temple of Faith Missionary Baptist Church under the  Pastoral Leadership of Reverend O.C. Moore the age of 70. His Ministry was making himself available all hours to those in need. Bennie enjoyed bringing people to church all the time. If someone did not know him personally, you can rest assure they have heard of him. He leaves to cherish his memory; Brother James, Son Robert and Daughters Rochelle and Sharla, and Daughter-in-Law Karen, along with a Host of Grandchildren, Gre-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, and other relives. Known to many as Daddy, Pops, Grandpa, Pappa BJ, Friend, and a True Servant of God.
