Obituary for Antoinette Louise McDowell
Antoinette Louise McDowell 61 was born July 26, 1955 Ann J. Whittaker and Harold McDowell in Kansas City, MO, both parent preceded her in deh. Antoinette received her formal educion from public schools in Kansas City, Mo and gradued from Southeast High School. She also received her CNA certifice from Central High School. She was very proud of her nursing skills. Her most recent accomplishment was receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services from the University of Central Missouri. She had plans to open a transition housing unit for women and was also co-founder of Somebody’s Brother Ministries. She professed her faith in Christ an early age and was baptized in Oklahoma. She ler became a member of Second Missionary Baptist church where she was a part of the transportion ministry as well as serving on other ministries. Antoinette was the mriarch of her family. Family and traditions were very important to her. She was always there to give a listening ear. She was always ready and willing to provide direct advice rher or not you asked for it. She was always spreading the word of God and willing to help anyone the drop of a dime. On January 8, 2017 when God sent his angels for Antoinette all 5 of her daughters were her side. She was greeted in heaven by her only son, Tony Rashad Guinn. She leaves to cherish her precious memory, her 5 daughters; Aminah Moore of Grand Prairie, Texas, Yasmine Simmons, Aliah Guinn, Biancah Guinn, and Brittaney Guinn. A special son-in-law th she referred to as a son, Navarro Simmons Sr. all of Kansas City, Missouri. 3 sisters; Mary McDowell-Chalibi of Riverside, California, Sherrie Robinson (Raymond), and Harriette Madge a brother-in-law th she referred to as her best friend, Raymond Madge, as well as one brother, Stewart McDowell (Kie) of Wentzville, Missouri. Two sisters preceded her in deh. Her 11 grandchildren were the light of her life. She enjoyed teaching them to fish, garden, sew, cook, and craft traditional and creive holiday projects.
