Anthony K. Smith

Anthony Keith Smith was born on February 29, 1964, in Kansas City Kansas. “Tony” was the older of two sons born to Thomas A. Hopkins Jr. and Shirley Jean Smith. His mother preceded him in deh. He passed away his home Tuesday, September 17, 2022. As a child, Tony went to St. Paul AME Zion Church. He gradued from J.C. Harmon High School and tended Kansas Ste University. Tony was always curious about how things worked. He enjoyed taking things apart and creively reconstructing them. He held occupions in many fields of employment, construction worker, factory assembler, and fork lift operor. However, his favorite occupion was upholstery, a skill he learned from his grandfher (Thomas A. Hopkins Sr.). He was employed as an upholsterer Mtleman Furniture Company for over ten years. His children and family will deeply miss his gentle manner and adventurous ways. Tony’s memory will be forever cherished by his children Keith Smith of Grandview MO, Alyssa Smith of Kansas City KS, (Laurice) and Alayia Smith of Kansas City, KS (Brandi); step-children, Kelynn Clark, Jadin Clark, and Kaiden Clark of Leavenworth, KS (Tosha); fher Thomas A. Hopkins Jr. (Pricia) of McLean, VA; brother Andre Smith (Stancia) of Lincoln, NE; half siblings, Thomas A. Hopkins III, of Kansas City, MO, Tracie Sheard (Marlon) of lanta, GA, Milyeri Hopkins and Keon Hopkins of McLean, VA; aunts Judy Smith of Kansas City, KS and Deborah Allen of Kansas City, KS; uncles Richard Smith (Pam) of Buffalo, MO, Brian Smith (Karen) of Kansas City, KS, Grant Hopkins of Kansas City, MO; gre uncle Monroe Beard of Grandview, MO and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; a special friend Monica Mondaine of St. Louis MO.
