Obituary for Alberta Pruitt

Alberta Pruitt 88, Our Heavenly Fher summoned his angel on January 19, 2019 and stopped by Life Care Center of Grandview to bring his child, Mrs. Alberta Pruitt, home. Alberta was born June 13, 1930 to Rosie B Reams and Calvin Shepard and raised by her mother and step-dad, Alfred Reams, who all preceded her in deh. As a child she grew up in Altheimer, Arkansas tending school and being taught skills of caring for her younger siblings, (cooking, cleaning, raising chickens, gardening and sewing). All skills taught to her by her mother. Alberta married Aaron Pruitt, who preceded her in deh on June 02, 2012, and to this union seven children were born. Of the seven children, two preceded her in deh, James Michael Pruitt and Annie Lee Alexander-Russell. During their early years of marriage Alberta and Aaron reloced from Arkansas to Kansas City, MO, where they raised their children. Alberta never finished her early educion in Arkansas, but ler she enjoyed taking Adult Classes as she worked on her GED. She loved studying and it was daily she surrounded herself with books of all subjects. Alberta also loved to sew, was a praying woman who loved reading the Bible, teaching and also preaching God’s word. She accepted Christ an early age. Alberta, while in Kansas City, Mo, placed her and her family*s membership Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church (Pastor A.L. Johnson), Faith Mission Church of God in Christ (Eld. Hubert Lambert), Faith Miracle Full Gospel Church where she served as Assistant Pastor (Pastor Alice Bradley) and Pentecostal Church of God in Christ (Bishop Daniel M. Jordan). Before her health failed she regularly tended Calvary Chapel Church of God in Christ (Pastor Harold Molden Sr.) with her daughter(s). Alberta was employed through various industries where she worked as a Domestic Housekeeper, Temporary Clerk the Internal Revenue Service, and Cafeteria worker in the Kansas City School District. She also volunteer Ministered to pients Nursing Homes until her retirement from such. After being diagnosed with Dementia, Alberta was not able to tend her own church, but with her daughters she tended Calvary Chapel Church of God in Christ until her health declined and she was moved to Life Care Center of Grandview. Alberta leaves to cherish her memory, two sons: Aaron Pruitt JR (Cynthia) of Rancho Cucamonga, CA., Curtis Pruitt (Misti) of Dennison, TX., three daughters: Willa Pruitt of Sherman, TX., Darlene Paul (Leonard) of Mesquite, TX., and Deborah Marshall (Gary) of Kansas City, MO., Grandchilden: Alissa Taylor, Nicole Schmidt, Errick Alexander, Damon Alexander, Chantel Pruitt, Sonya Revels, Daniel Scott, Brandon Scott, Janon Whittaker, Currissa Pruitt Alsobrooks, Curtis Pruitt Jr, Keegan Pruitt, Gary Eugene Marshall; and several more gre grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
