Obituary for Marilyn “Joyce” Williams

Marilyn "Joyce" Williams, 81, of Kansas City, passed away peacefully on November 20 2024, after a battle with cancer. Born in Richmond MO on October 10, 1943, Joyce was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. She worked as a youth services worker for Jackson County until her retirement. After retirement she worked in home health care and helped to care for her mother and aunt until their passing. She was passionate about helping others.She truly enjoyed reading, going to the YMCA *the Y*, and her granddaughter. She would often brag about her son and granddaughter to anyone who would listen, even holding some poor souls captive until she was through. She was a very proud mother and grandmother. Joyce is survived by her loving son and granddaughter, Ritchie, and Iyanla Williams. Brothers, Richard Arlen Williams, Charles Allen Williams, Robert Edward Williams, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial Service Held, Saturday, December 7th. 2024 at 11:00 AM.
