Rodney Eugene Collins

Rodney Eugene Collins, was born January 25, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri to Jessie Collins and Clarice Hayes-Collins, he is proceeded in transition by his parents, his sister's Sharon Collins, Regina Collins and Brother Raymond Collins. He was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri School district graduating from Central High School's class of 1974. Rodney enlisted in the US Marine Corps after high school and served for over 20 years receiving his Honorable discharge among his many commendations were the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Navy Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal w/6 stars. After retirement he went on to work for the Department of Agriculture, Department of Finance and finally a second retirement from the IRS. Rodney, left California relocating to Swansea, Illinois working for the IRS. Rodney leaves to cherish with loving memories his wife Paula Eason-Collins; siblings brother Maurice Collins and sisters Jesse Collins, Sheila Collins, Patricia Collins, Carolyn Collins; his former wife, Patricia Collins and many friends. Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept.4, 2025, at the ELITE CHAPEL11525 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, Missouri. Visitation 9:30 AM-10:30 AM with Services at 10:30 AM.
