Young Master Zion H. Scales

Zion H. Scales 1 who passed away peacefully on July 7, 2015, was a beautiful and energetic “angel”. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, February 7, 2014 and received his “angel wings” on July 7, 2105. The youngest of 3 children, he was Shakeyia’s only son. Zion was Sammy’s youngest beloved son of his eight children and truly loved by his family. Zion loved music and dancing to his favorite song,” Like a Man”. Every time it was played, he would stand up , with his head held high, with the cutest smile and in the sweetest voice sing out the words…”like a man” He loved eing and protecting his family. Throughout his short lifetime, his mommy would describe him as a “sour pch kid”, first he was sour and then he was sweet! Even though Zion was 1 yrs. old, he had more energy than anyone could imagine. His favorite toys were his car, he liked to drive, his little handheld cars, his blocks and his Captain America action figure. His favorite game with his mommy was just her chasing him around the house and shouting the words loudly, “ I’m going to e you up, Rrrrrrr”! Mommy fondly remembers Zion rounding up his cousin, leading him to the “fridge”, showing him how to open it, how to pull out the bottom drawer and how to retrieve a prize…an apple! The little cousin was a willing accomplist. Zion was his parents pride and joy. On Zion’s last visit to church, he s piently in the newly forming children’s choir practice, ready to learn a new song. He leaves to cherish his memory his parents Shakeyia M. Scales and Sammy D. Holmes, (mernal gre- grandparents) Alice Scales, H. Hvelin Scales, (mernal grandparents)Stephanie Scales, Robert Speed, (pernal gre-grandparent) Audrey Pierre, (pernal grandparent) Doreen Chancellor,( siblings) (sisters)Zoe Marie Scales, Zionna R’nae Scales, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
