Lawrence T. Curtis

Lawrence T. Curtis 70 passed away on October 25, 2015 was born July 8, 1945 to Ms Martha J. Mack and Taylor Curtis in Mexico Missouri. He accepted Christ an early age. Elder Curtis served many churches as an Associe Minister. He joined New Direction Church in 2010 serving as the Pastor of Fellowship, a member of the Brotherhood Ministry, Men in Praise Ministry and the Transportion Ministry. Lawrence gradued high school and tended the University of Missouri where he played football for the Mizzou Tigers. He also tended Oral Roberts University in Tulsa OK where he obtained his degree in Culinary Arts, And received his Ministers License from the Western Bible College. Lawrence held several career positions as a chef for 10 yrs included serving as chef to former President Harry S. Truman. He was truck Driver for Schneider’s for 15 yrs. He ler retired to enjoy life in 2013. Lawrence was joined in Holy Mrimony to Jewell Gordon August 16, 2014 and to this union he gained 11 children. Lawrence was preceded in deh by both parents, 2 sisters, and one step-daughter Shanea Jones. L.C. leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife of the home Jewell C. Curtis, four step-sons Raymond Gordon (Myrria), Shawn Gordon (Kimberly), RaShawn Gordon (A*Esha), and Thomas Savage all of Kansas City, MO. Seven step-daughters Candy Gordon, Benitha Jones, Felicia Gordon of Las Vegas NV, Sheronda Gordon, Lynetta Jones, Tiffany Jones (Eric), and Lacrecia Jones all of Kansas City, MO. One sister Marvella Thompson of Byron, TX, Nine half sisters Juanita Gordon, Linda Pouncil, Doreha Rivers, and Nancy Goff, Melody Harris, Trinetta Gordon, Charlene Wilson, Htie Rentie, Regina Gordon of Ft Lauderdale FL, and Three Half brothers Ray Gordon, Alfred Gordon, all of Kansas City, MO and George Gordon Jr. of Hollywood, FL, Twenty-Two grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
