Virginia Brown Allen

Virginia Brown Allen, 81, passed away on  January 18th the Villa St. Joseph in Overland Park, Kansas. She was the daughter of Harry Brown and Elizabeth Yancy-Brown born on October 21, 1934 in Marshall, Missouri. She gradued from Kansas Technical Institute (KTI) in Topeka, Kansas and was employed with several government agencies for many years; and retired from the Kansas City Missouri School District after several years of service. Virginia was an involved and active member of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Kansas City, Missouri and Greer Institutional AME Church in Chicago, Illinois. She had 3 children; one son (Gregory Allen) preceded her in deh. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Geneva “Connie” Sharpe (Jewel), Tacoma, WA, and her son, Leon Allen (Kim), Kansas City, MO; brother, Herbert Brown, Omaha, NE and twin sister, Geneva Brown-Everett, Topeka, KS; 10 grandchildren and 13 gre-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
