Vicky M. Merritt

  Vicky M. Merritt 68 passed away peacefully on February 13, 2016 was born May 3, 1947 in Dumas, Arkansas to Beulah and Benjamin Jacobs and was raised in Kansas City, Missouri. Vicky tended Manuel High School and gradued form East High School in 1965. She professed her faith and love of Christ an early age and was baptized New Zion MBC, in Kansas City she ler moved her membership to the Greer St. Mthew MBC  under the pastore of Nhan Buie Sr. Vicky believed in working hard and early in her life she worked for the Western Electric Company and Browns Lounge to support her family. Vicky would quickly get to know people, ensuring they felt comfortable in her company. Her pass time pleasures included spending time with family and friends, feeding and helping those in need, th was the type of heart Vicky had. Vicky is proceeded in deh by her parents Beulah and Benjamin Jacobs, son Chris Eugene Harris, sister Beulah Russell and granddaughter De’Antreia Ashley. She leaves to cherish with loving memories two daughters Yodora Ashley and Nicole Ashley; three sons Joe Ashley Jr., James Harrison Ashley of Stesboro, GA. and Larry Ashley; fourteen grandchildren; 17 gre grandchildren, best friend Becky Bandy and her seven children who loved and respected Ms. Vicky as their “nanny”, as well as a host of family and many friends
