Obituary for Arlene Love Moore
Arlene Love Moore, 82, was born September 12, 1933. She departed on April 13, 2016. Preceding her in deh was her husband and good friend Ira Moore, Jr., her fher Charles Dee Love, Sr., mother Clara Mae Means, two brothers Alvin James, Sr. and Charles Dee Love, Jr., one sister Dorotha Bell James and a very special son-in-law Donald (Duck) Williams. Arlene was united in holy mrimony to Ira Moore, Jr. in 1949. One daughter, Carolyn Moore Williams was born to this union. Arlene was educed in the public school systems of Kansas City, Missouri and Monroe, Louisiana. After completing high school she studied cosmetology Manual High School. Ler in life she tended Penn Valley Community College where she received her certificion as a Food Service Supervisor. She accepted Christ and was baptized an early age. Cooking was Arlene’s passion. She went to work Our Lady of Mercy Retirement and Nursing Home as a cook and retired as a Food Service Supervisor. Arlene tended Morning Star Baptist Church until her health failed her and she could no longer do so. She leaves to cherish her memory one loving and devoted daughter, Carolyn Moore Williams, one granddaughter, Charise Rhodes Alexander (Brian), one grandson, Brian Alexander, Jr., one special sister-in-law, Eula M. Byrd (Kynston), one brother-in-law, Howard L. Moore, Sr. (Berice). As well as two special friends, Ms. Rachel Slaughter and Ms. Berice Macon and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
