Jessie Mae Baker 77

Jessie Mae Baker 77 was born January 13, 1939 in Aberdeen, Mississippi. She was the second eldest of seven children. She accepted Christ an early age in Mississippi, after relocing to Kansas City she joined the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church under the pastore of Rev. Jessie Frazier. She was a longtime member of the church including serving on the Mother Board until her health required her to move to Colorado to receive care from her daughter in law Linda. Jessie met and ler married Dinsmore Baker, Jr.; they shared a wonderful life together until his deh in 1977. Ler she found her best friend and soul me Willie (BilI) Johnson, they shared thirty-six years together until “Bill” passed away in 2013. She is preceded in transition by her mother Deborah Roberts and her sister Mae Alice. Jessie Mae was called home to glory on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 her son’s home in Aurora, Colorado surrounded by her loving family. She leaves to cherish her home going two sons Carl Baker (Linda) of the home, Dinsmore Baker III of Kansas City, MO.; daughters Diantha Baker of Carmichael, CA., Louise Wilson, Wanda Baker, Mary Burrell, Denise Baker, Jessie D. Baker, Samantha Baker all of the metropolitan area; sisters Ruth Ann Wax, Mtie Sue Roberts, Htie Sue Washington (Jackie), Carolyn Sue McMillan all of Aberdeen, MS., Claire Mae of Grand Rapids, MI.; twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-nine gre grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, church family special friends and many friends.
