Obituary for Verlie Kinney
Verlie Kinney was born October 9, 1947 to John Forbush Kinney and Edna Mae White General Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Both of her parents, her son Nhan Shelby, Jr., her granddaughter Teniya Webb, four siblings Harold M. Kinney, Benjamin W. Kinney, Helen L. Briscoe, and Cozetta Jones all preceded her in deh. Verlie accepted Christ early in life, and was a firm believer in God. She gradued from Manuel High in 1963. She departed this life on July 19, 2017. Verlie worked 30 plus years for Aramark Nursing along with In-home Health Care. Nursing was her passion, just helping people or lending a hand. Her smile and personality would light up any room. She was on the board of Tenants Aassociion 10 years. She also joined. She also joined Senior Volunteer Leadership for United Way, Harvesters, the American Legion and Phways to Health. Throughout her life, Verlie always diligently worked hard until her health wouldn’t allow her to continue. She departed this life on July 19, 2017 leaving behind so many beautiful memories th will be treasured for years to come.. She leaves to celebre her life five children; Clifford W. Kinney (Rebeccah), Robert L. Kinney, Sr., Nasha L. Shelby, Edna Marie Kinney, and Temeja L Kinney (Charles), 23 grandchildren and 27 gre-grandchildren; Special friend Delissa Pickett; Special companion Lloyd Oliver and a host of beloved friends, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends, She will be missed by everyone who loved and knew her.
