Mr. Charles A. Horton

Mr. Charles A. Horton slipped quietly from this life unto everlasting on May 25, 2021 in Kansas City, MO. He was born on November 11, 1930 to Itaska Josie and Calvin A. Horton in Kansas City, Missouri. Charles confessions of faith, was acknowledge, Mt. Zion Baptist Church a young age. He ler moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for 20 years and while living there he tended the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as a Deacon, Superintendant and Driver for the church. Charles moved back to Kansas City, Missouri in 2012 to be close to the family and reunited with Mt. Zion Baptist joining the male choir and as a Sunday School Teacher until his health became ill. He was preceded in deh by widower of Ophelia Marie Horton July 31, 2008 (Milwaukee Wisconsin), 2 brothers Beckwith Horton, Wilson Horton (Pete), sisters Hazel Wells, Jean Davis, mother & fher, children Calvin Horton, Kay Horton and Cornlius Horton. He leaves to cherish his memory; brother(s) Wilburt (Claudean) Horton of KCK, Micheal (Bobby) Horton Pheonix, AZ, one sister Valaska Mthews Milwaukee, WIS. Children Tana (Tarrell) Huskey of KC, MO., Gilda Horton of KCK, Elanor Horton of KCK, Terry Horton of KCK and Charles (Greta) Leapheart, Sr., of KC, MO.
