Mr. Leon James Stevenson Sr.

Leon James Stevenson Sr. was born February 3, 1942, to Edgar Stevenson and Ceola Pickens in Gene Autry, Oklahoma. Leon peacefully departed this life Friday, December 3, 2021, 79 years of age. Leon tended Charlton Pollard High School in Beaumont, Texas before moving to Kansas City, Missouri. Leon was employed with and retired from General Motors after serving over 33 years. Leon loved cars, racing them, working on them, and buying them. He never met a person he could not talk to. He worked hard, played hard, and always lived life to the fullest. He gave the best advice, always truthful and necessary. He loved hanging out with family and friends especially his grandkids. Leon was married twice, he was married to Ruth Randolph from 1961 – 1968, then to Irene Pickens from 1971 – 2008 both preceding him in deh. Also preceding Leon in deh were his mother, Ceola Gage; fher, Edgar Stevenson; stepfher, Lethanial Gage Sr.; stepmother, Joanne Stevenson and one daughter Andrea Randolph. Leon leaves to cherish his memory, his children; Lavonne (Darrell) Wyt; Leon Stevenson Jr; Iris (Robert) Littlejohn; Karen (Michael) Aldridge of Arlington, Texas; Dion Stevenson; Kim (Derek) Holmes of Tallahassee, Florida; Tyanna Lynn Hill of Bakersfield, California; Tamika (John) Blackburn of Arlington, Texas; Robin Gregory of Dallas, Texas; 30 grandchildren and 22 gre grandchildren; brother and sister, Lethaniel Gage Jr., Pricia Hempstead (Carl Loftis) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
