Robert William North Sr.

Robert William North Sr., affectionately known as *Bobby*, was born on May 19, 1938 to William & Osceola North. Bobby stood out, even as a child, by being the only son out of 4 children. He departed this life on October 30, 2023. Robert W. North Sr. was known for his positive demeanor, constant smile, and his need to keep busy. Bobby accepted Christ into his heart and life and attended Graceway Church. After his graduation from Lincoln High School in 1957, Robert W. North Sr. heroically served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Next, Bobby bravely worked for the U.S Marshall Service. After his retirement, he was employed by the Jackson County Sheriff*s Department. Even after his service to the Marines, Marshall*s, and Sheriff's Departments, Robert W. North Sr. still had the desire and drive to keep working. Bobby transitioned his employment to the 16th Circuit Court then to the Court of Appeals. Bobby then finally retired. At the time of his passing, Robert W. North Sr. was still happily working part time as a security officer for Second Baptist Church. In addition to working, Robert W. North Sr. liked to fish, bowl, and watch TV (even though most of the time the TV was watching him). Most of all Bobby loved being around his family & friends. Bobby was always a bright light in any group. Robert W. North Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Robert North Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Irene North; son, Nick Spencer (Lisa); daughter, Sherri Spencer; 3 sisters, Phyllis Williams (Clarence), Barbara Tolbert, Carolyn Love (Cecil); 2 granddaughters; Ebony Williams (Sean) and Kimberley Lyman (Charles); 2 great grandchildren; Essence Carrington and Sean Williams; 1 great great grandson Jaesean Williams; great nephew and niece, D'Ari Wallace and Sydne Sylvan and a host of other nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
