Obituary for Mrs. Dorothy R. Simpson

Mrs. Dorothy R. Simpson 91 departed this life on March 06, 2017. She was born January 30, 1926 to Henry and Emma Johnson. Dorothy’s farther passed in 1981 and her mother preceded her in transition in 1976 as well as a brothers LaMaral Johnson age (10), H.T. Johnson and a sister Willie Mae Neal in 2012. Dorothy, was baptized by Rev. T.L. Doris when she was (12) years of age, joining the St. Mthew Baptist Church in Blackwell, Arkansas. She ler became the secretary of the entire Sunday School. Dorothy R. moved from Morrilton, Arkansas, to Kansas City, Kansas in 1944. She joined Mount Zion Baptist Church in the year of 1962. Dorothy R. was a faithful member of class #5; for over (30) years where Pastor C.L. Bachus taught until he handed Brother Doug Bolden the gre task to teach his class. Dorothy R. was also part of the noon day Mission Department where she was chairman of the mission for many years until her health began to fail. Dorothy R. tended L.W. Sullivan High School in Morrilton, Arkansas, she worked for Ditmo Corporion for over twenty-one and ler retired. Dorothy R., leaves to cherish her memories three nephews, one niece to mourn her passing; LaMaral Johnson, Henry Johnson, Vagus Johnson and Janette Johnson and family. The Alfred Berry family, Joshua Williams family, the Bud Johnson family and special friends; Betty Shannon, Janice Toombs, Nelgwin Redmond and daughters.
