Mrs. Carnie Elizabeth Bailey

Mrs. Carnie Elizabeth Bailey was born Carnie Elizabeth Rector on April 13, 1922 in Stone Mountain, Georgia to Mr. & Mrs. Rector. She passed away peacefully on Surday September 26, 2015. She was preceded in deh by two daughters Janet Bailey and Brenda Rounds, one son Willie G. Bailey, Jr., and one grandson Mhew T. Rounds. Mrs. Bailey was raised in Stone Mountain, Georgia with her twelve brothers and sisters. She accepted Christ an early age. When she became a young adult, she started ding Mr. Willie G. Bailey who ler went into the military, and when he returned home, they were married on December 27th, 1941. Ler they moved to Kansas City, Missouri. they were married eight years before she had children. the age of 28, she had her first child and the age of 39 she had her last child. She gave birth to four boys and three girls, a total of seven children. She was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church where she served on the missionary board and raised not only her children, but also assisted in raising her grandchildren and gre-grandchildren. Mrs. Bailey knew how to cook any kind of food and sew clothing. She loved flowers and you could tell when you were her home, Flowers in the yard as well as flowers on the porch. She also loved planting a garden every year. She leaves to cherish her beloved memory: her husband Rev. Willie G. Bailey, Sr.; her children Linda Bowman, Stanley Bailey, Victor Bailey, Sr., and Kevin Bailey all of Kansas City, Missouri; one brother Albert Rector of Decur, Georgia; her Grandchildren Cherine Bailey, Charles Rounds, Jr., Monique Rounds, Aisha Carter, Victor Bailey, Jr., Jeremy Bailey, Jasmine Bailey, Siob’Han Bowman, Daryl Bowman, Ramone Bailey and Valencia Hardin ( whom Mrs. Bailey lived with), ten Gre Granchildren, two Gre gre grandchildren along with a host of other family members and friends.
