Gloria L. Miller

Gloria Miller was born January 7th, 1956 in Kansas City, KS. The fifth child of seven siblings to Pastor David and Isabella Scott. Both parents and 3 siblings preceded her in deh. She was raised in Kansas City, Kansas where she tended Washington High School. She gradued early from Washington through a nursing program and shortly after was a surgical nurse. After a few years of being a surgical nurse, Gloria went to KCKCC for studies to become a legal secretary. After pursuing th for a few years, Gloria found a passion for the fast growing quick service restaurant industry. She worked as a manager for a few popular fast food restaurants until her health failed her when she was diagnosed with failing kidney disease. Gloria always had an unique down to earth sense of humor and enjoyed comedy. She was also an excellent cook, enjoyed solving puzzles, loved floral art and had a strong love for music. Her greest love of all was her family. She had an undeniable love for her grandchildren who nicknamed her Gran-Gran. She will truly be missed by them the most. She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter Reba Miller; two sons, Darren Ricketts II and Charles Ricketts; 8 grandchildren, Hezekiah, Sasha, Sophetia and Delano (Reba); Laila (Darren); Nevaeh, Chasidy and Jahques (Charles); two brothers David and Benjamin Scott; her only sister Francine Scott; and many other relives and close friends. Her memory will live through us all.
