Obituary for Madeline (Marie) Kinney

Mrs. Madeline (Marie) Kinney was born January 13,1963, in Kansas City, Missouri to the union of Alvin and Evonia Clark Sr. She was the only girl of four brothers; Alvin Clark Jr., Timothy Clark Sr, Russell Clark Sr and Michael Clark. Marie attended Southeast High School class of 1981 and later attended the University Of Missouri, studying Computer Science/ Programming. Marie met her husband and life partner Bruce Kinney Sr In 1985 and united In marriage June 20, 1987. From this union three children were born; Erika, Bruce Jr. and Brittany Kinney. Marie worked for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline as a Computer Operator and then later ended her career with Research Medical Center as a Computer Programming for 20+ years. In her life, she was known as “Lady MC” having notable cars and a love for dance, gathering and celebration. Her infectious personality was magnetic and resulted in a life full of family, love, laughter, and friendship. Her inherited passion for bowling from her Father and Mother(Alvin and Evonia Clark Sr.) lived long, passing down to her children. Her competitive spirit and love of sports proved strong as she cheered her favorite sports teams in basketball and football. This shined even brighter when her granddaughter, Alexis became active in basketball, track and volleyball. She was often the loudest and proudest voice in the stands, encouraging every step of the way. The lord called Marie home Thursday, March 19, 2026 while surrounded by family at St.Lukes Hospital. Preceded her in death is her Mother Evonia Clark, Grandparents Thomas and Ruby Riley, Leonard and Leola Clark Sr, Three Brothers Alvin Clark Jr., Timothy Clark Sr., Russell Clark Sr. She leaves to mourn in her home-going her Husband of 38 years Bruce Kinney Sr, her children Erika Brownlee (Drecus), Bruce Kinney Jr, Brittany Kinney, Father Alvin Clark Sr, Grand-Daughter Alexis Kinney, Brother Michael Clark (Shellie) and a host of family and friends.
